:cool:My angels spawned today for the first time.:bigsmile::bigsmile: I don't hold out much hope because its their first time.
The female layed her eggs in two different places, so shes going crazy racing up and down trying to protect her eggs but without much luck and the male seems to have lost all interest in them he isn't even helping the female to protect them. He just slips in every now and then to chow some until she chases him away.

    Good stuff A!
What really helps me is to put up a little sign saying "eating of eggs not allowed" :)

Actually.. my wife MADE me get another tank, because she was sick and tired of seen all the eggs being eaten all the time. When she saw the wrigglers get eaten... I was instructed to set up the second tank.

    No complaints here!

My wife has a soft spot for angels.

Well in the mean time i can sort things out for them.

LOL Vis do you think i have the time to teach my fish to read.

Zoom i did the good news bad news thing. Told my husband when he got home that i have bad news, that i urgently have to get a new tank.

He goes aah crap which tank broke, and i'm like no i need it because of the good news haha the angels are spawning.

Seriously i think i have already found my new tank [ just needs a bit of work ] My landlady has a old three foot with a cracked bottom standing outside, i will ask her tomorrow what she wants for it. Maybe i'm lucky and she still has the canopy ect.

Just as i thought all the eggs are gone.

What do you guys think the chances of success will be if i have them in a tank with 5 corys and three khuli loaches, cos i can move the other angels and rummynose tetras into my tank that has angels and danios for now.

I already removed the mystery snails last night. It will just be till i can get another tank. My landlady is still deciding if she wants to get rid of her tank and how much she wants for it.

Linxie thanks and no i have five angels in the tank, was hoping that they would pair off. Unfortunatly the eggs are gone, but now that they have paired off i know which ones to move into a breeding tank when i get one, which hold thumbs will be soon.

Geez MTS is a very serious condition, i started with my first tank about ten months ago, i already have six tanks and am planning at least two more soon, one for breeding the angels and one as a growout tank.

Heehee.... sounds like you have a serious condition of MTS there.

I think the loaches will chow the eggs at night when the parents can't see to protect? (Vee and Gert can confrm...)

Ok thanks i didn't think the loaches would be a problem, will a night light work.

I guess that i can do a major reshuffel and give the angels their own tank.

Anyone want some mystery snails, i've got stacks to get rid of in a hurry.

It's really rewarding. My tank is going well. I know you've asked for pics... will get to it as soon as the 5 remaining fry are big enough for my camera to pic up

Sorry 4 the egg loss, but the bright side is u now have a breading pair. Your land lady is just being mean. What can she do with a cracked tank. Don't pay too much for the tank. The glass and silicone has been weakened sitting outside empty.

Great news my land lady just gave me the tank, after i had cleaned all the crap out of it it isn't even cracked. I have filled it with water and no leaks. How lucky can you get.

Its made from 8mm glass is 960 long, 360 wide and 380 high. She also gave me a bag of goodies with it. A dolphin H-200 hangon filter, a resun sp-1800L internal power filter [the canister part is missing but the motor still works- should be able to use that for something] a small air pump and some plastic plants.

I did the fish shuffel this weekend and the angels are now in their own tank. so i just have to get this tank up and running as a grow out tank. [ Hubby's not to happy that he will have to spend another weekend of stand building ]
