would this be the right way to care for my discus

    Halo how you how are things that side I would like to ask if its it okay I tank water is clear now seen I have done the 50 percent water change and I also put my charcoal in last night just to remove the meds that was left in the tank I have the temp on 30 they are all fine and active and come to when I have to feed them I also bought microbe lift which is vitamins for dicus and has ammino acids in it which help the fish what I wana know is when I add the solution must I remove my charcoal as on the dosage instruction says nathing about charcoal all it says is the dosage amount to be used 1 a week and the differnt type of vits and acids I also have not put the Almond leafs in as I know charcoal would remove the tannis that the leaf gives off in the water what I can say is that I am glad my fish are healthy no internal parasites or worms I did worm them with metro by seachem and I also treated for gill flukes and flukes with para guard and feed them garlic now and them I feed bloodworms and ocean nurtrition discus flakes and tetra bits in the week wana get brine shrimp and mysis for them as well and feed it to the one day worms the next shrimp and then mysis so each day they have something new to eat and once a month deworm them and add metro to the bloodworms so it kills internal parasites fast before it leads to other sickness like whole in the head also doing 10 percent water change each day and wipe the inside glass once a week and wash the filter pads once a week but with my tank water not tap water everytime I add water I use meds to take out the chorline and 1 a month add 5ml of stabilty to the water which just helps the bacteria and the almond leafs you can keep it for 3 weeks then change them by doing all of this would my fish be all that they can be and be strong and healthy I had malawias and they are easy hardy fish to keep nathing like discus just want the best for them

    Hi @davydiscus, welcome to the forum, the best person I know to speak with is @Altum. He really helped me with my discus, how about some specs of your tank, how many discus & a pic or two?

    Sjoe Davy, that was one long sentence.....

    Ok, first off, welcome to tasa.

    Why not give us a run down of your tank, what stock you have etc etc, oh and update your profile with where abouts you stay.

    There are some very knowledgeable discus guys here who will gladly help you out. Two strong discus keepers are @Dirk and @Marco. My suggestion is to do a discus search and read what these two members have to say. Their advice is sound and not based on a commercial angle.
