Would LED dimming cause any harm?

    Hi
    not sure if I'm posting this in the right place?

    I want to simulate sunrise and sunset. Iwill be using PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) to adjust the Brightness of my lights(LED)

    The lights will be "flickering" at high Frequency's which we humans can't really notice,
    so my question is the following:
    Would the fish or plants notice this "flickering" and if so, would this be harm full in any way?

    We already use Fluorescent tubes that flicker, so I can't imagine that LED's will be much different in their effect. If I remember correctly, the PWM effect on an LED produces a much smoother light than Fluorescents anyway.

    Would love to hear some more of what you've got planned though, I've been wondering about doing the same, just don't have the electronics knowledge to even know where to start.
