Guys, as a newbie I am going to have to ask you guys for some assistance here. I have been offered a tank (2m x 70cm x 70cm) with a square tubing stand for R3500. Now my question is, is it worth it?

If it is just the tank and stand i dont think it is realy worth it, you can have the same size tank made and it will be cheaper

Some glossostigma elatinoides or Hemianthus callitrichoides as your foreground, a Barclaya Longifolia or two, a Aponogeton Madagascariensis or two, some moss attached to a piece of wood (wood should have a small hollow'ish part towards the end of it for fish to hide in), some Rotala Wallichii, a Hygrophila Corymbosa, Hygrophila Difformis, a few pieces of Microsorum Pteropus 'windelov' attached to another piece of wood, a mixture of Cabomba Caroliniana & Cabomba Piauhyensis as a centre piece backdrop, perhaps a Anubias Barteri attached to a rock in one of the back corners and some Echinidorus Ozelot is what I'm thinking at the moment on what plants I'd throw in there. Haven't touched my plant hit-list as the above are easier to source & find with the exception of the barclaya & the lace plant.

Fish.....no clue and not too interested either :p lol

    Cheers
    Dale

I see you've put a little thought into it since this afternoon Dale :) I may just take you up on your offer for next weekend, even if it is just to decipher which plants are which :)
