As I was doing my morning check of my tanks I noticed a white worm swimming (wriggling) at the water surface in between the plants....

The worm was thin and white and was about half a cm in length!

Anyone have any idea what this may be???? i recently had a sick Kribensis in that tank who is now on his last legs (even with meds dosed in a QT tank).

btw they are not planaria - they dont have a fluke like appearance... its more of a blood worm type worm, no definitive head

Is it possibly a white worm? Like the worms we feed to fish? They could survive for a while in a tank I guess...

    They possibly midge larvae.
Put some guppies in the tank – if they disappear never to be seen again then they are midge larvae
