Tip for the SA fans close to jhb south.

The SA flag mirror covers that are sold at all major intersections for R100 can be bought at R35.
The SA soccer jersey that sells at over R200 is also available at R120.
They even sell the flags that you can attach to your car. Not sure the price.

The place is called china mall.
It is across Honda South, on the same road as the vehicle testing station.
Sorry don't know the road name.

I believe that the words "soccer" and "vuvusela" will be treated as swear words by July!

I'm already sick of this World Cup!! I'll watch the games on TV, but thats about it!!

I have to say that I am glad that Newlands is not being used for games!! The traffic and noise past the back of the house is attrotious when the rugby is on, or even when Ajax CT are playing there, so I can't begin to imagine what it would be like for the World Cup!!

    Cheers
    G!

I'd like to go see a bafana game. Holding thumbs. Bought the shirt this weekend. (Original from the manufacturere), and have the flag.

You gotta show some support here guys.

World cup soccer is bigger than world cup rugby will EVER be. It's bigger than cricket, athletics, and motor racing.. why.. because it's a literally played in EVERY SINGLE country on earth. And to have that kind of exposure as South African's, I think we should all show our pride.

I've NEVER watched a soccer game in my life. I've only played once or twice in primary school. I think EU soccer is a bunch of hooligans with nothing better to do than drink and kick a ball... but I'm still getting into the spirit of things.

I challange you to loose your preconcieved, (and possibly racial) view on south african soccer, and get into it. When will you EVER have the chance to again??

Zoom where did you get your Original Jersey. All Adidas shops here are out of stock. And does it have the Protea emblem on the left? Some original jerseys don't.

Heehee... now telling my source would get me into k@k...

Actually I'm not sure where I got it from, or if it has the protea emblem. I'll let you know tomorrow after I collect it.

The jerseys are manufactured in SA and sold to Addidas at R200.00 a jersey. Addidas then put their tag onto the label, mark it up to R350, and sell it to total sports. We all know what the Total Sports sell it at...!

I have a source who knows the manufacturers, and thus got me the jersey that way.

My source hasn't delivered it to me, but I should get it tomorrow.

+1 Zoom, I agree totally. I'm really not impressed with FIFA and how they're using South Africa, but it's a massive event coming to our shores, and I want to be part of it

Will be going to the Warm-up mach on Thursday to see bafana play, did a world cup project for my daughter this weekend, she is Grade 1. Must say I was impressed by the outcome, tickets for the warm-up game is only R40 for any seat and that is why I am going. I am very patriotic and support all our SA teams whenever they play.

this world cup is a once in a lifetime !
I don't have any tickets but ill be watching on tv in HD.

regardless of all the sh1t our country has ill be supporting south africa !

honestly compared to the rest of the world we really have it good , our climate , people, cultures, wildlife , infrastructure not to mention our women !
people who are really negative about our country haven't really thought about it and let one aspect affect their view . if people have travelled to other countries they will see that we have it pretty good !

we must show people what a awesome place south africa is to be in , after the world cup I bet most foreigners won't want to leave !

    cheers

We had a raffle at the office for some tickets. Good seat tickets. Price tag is R840 per seat. I won Italy v Paraguay (x2 tickets) so guess I need to go :p

@Zoom: I'm in the same boat. I don't watch soccer at all. Still confusing to me when the players is offside.

Woah Ace, nice prize! Guess you'd better get learning...

I would imagine that even if you don't know anything about soccer it will still be a great experience. I think that there will be an AWESOME vibe...
