Well, let me be the first to say congrats on the "pre-engagement" decision... and I would agree with you 100% in letting her look at well.

She's the one who has to wear it her entire life, so she should choose it. My wife is so fussy about her jewellry that there is NO WAY'S I woulda got it right had I chosen hers.
