I was contemplating heading to Thailand for some R&R .. thought I might combine it with a visit to a fish farm or two - well something to do with fishies. Japan is just to far to got and see the ADA gallery.

Anyway stumbled onto on this exporter that mention that they indeed do export to SA. They had this video on the site.

Maybe I'll just be a tourist and park off on the beach. :wondering:

Nice set up. Not impressed with how they operate at all.

It's amazing to see what most of our fish have to go through before they make it into our tanks.

Sitting in that small bag and then literally getting smacked into a box. Can't be a nice experience.

yeah,so remember to not always just blame the LFS for dodgy fish in ill health... by the time they reach us,their little immune systems have been through quite a shock or two...to say nothing bout flight delays...

If you are heading through Bangkok, go to the Chatuchak market (weekend market) - they have a large fish area and have some great tanks etc. I found it very interesting - and almost a little painful because the prices are very cheap (especially their amazing albino discus).

PM me if you want details - I can guarantee the wife will be more than happy as it is the world's biggest outdoor market - there is something for everyone.
