Where can I find 6500k tubes ?

    Hi all,

    I have a 4x39w T5 Odyssea fixture over my planted 3ft tank, at the moment it is running the 2x10000k bulbs that came with it. I would like to know where I can find 6500k tubes for this fixture? I've tried to make sense of lighting spectrums and all that and apparantly 6500k is good for plant growth? Please help this newbie:wacko::wacko:

    Why not try Voltex(or any other electrical supplier)? Ask for Osram tubes rated 865...not 840....

    Or go through to Lamphouse in Joburg for some Sylvanias..... BTW...I'd keep at least one or two of the 10 000k tubes...but that's just me ... will help if your tank is 50cm deep or deeper...

    You can get 39w t5's, Osram daylight's 6500K (865) for around R60 - R70 each

    I would keep one 10'000K running and only change one 10'000K for a 6'500K...
