    For me i would say the best fish tank is to put a huge tank in the middle of a house so that all rooms look into in on their inner walls. Like converting court yard into a fish tank.. It would be HUGE :)

    @lyndon

    That would be marvelous!

    I would really LOVE to have huge built-in tanks in my bathroom walls. I can just imagine the tranquility of soaking in the tub while watching my beautiful fish swimming about....

    Hi.
    That’s the hardest question. If I really had to think about it, big, bigger and even more bigger lol!

    I like that idea. The fish could swim round the corner to escape from a bully or to see a different view.

    As long as they don't decide to consider you as food and try to burst through their tank walls!

    Holy mother. You'll need to plan a budget for your municipal bill to do a water change on that monster :nuts:

    Well if they start doing that while you in the bath. I would say that its time to change to smaller fish :)

    I'd have a tank that big, but full of wild discus, altums, fancy plecs... And rays, because we're dreaming here. Lots of plants and driftwood, and emersed plants as well. With waterfalls coming down, why not? ;)

    Wow, that is just plain awesome! LOL if you can afford the tank, you can afford the w/c... My ideal tank is one that is built into the wall, acting as some sort of room divider, filled with Malawi's or something similar!

    I'm sure a fish tank linked with the right computer and software would easily do that, just needs to be developed if it has not been done yet, but I'm sure you will still have to do tests and input this into the computer for it to dose the tank. and well it will cost a pretty penny, plus I can imagine the equipment looking a bit unsightly. another thing would be that the pc would not be able to perform gravel vacs but his may be overcome by using UG filters and having the water being drawn from the tank sucked trough the UG filters.
