What's the longest lifespan you have had out of a fish?

I had black widow tetras live for 5 years (I have only been keeping fish cumulatively for about 6 years)

ps longest living vertebrates are deep sea sharks
think it is greenland shark and they live 250 years

 

I currently have a few (about 4 or 5) strawberry rasbora going on 6 years. Unless they bred somewhere along the lines, the few surviving fry joined the school of about 60 that I started off with and are in fact not as old as that then. Difficult to tell with a small schooling fish.

 

I've had a betta for 3 years before I was told that he "died" while we were moving.

 

I have a place which is 6 years and going strong still. Gave him the nickname of grandpa as he is the oldest fish I have.

I got a pair of silver dollars in 2010 or 2011, and kept them for about 3 years till they outgrew my tank. Gave them to a friend with a big enough set up and the one is still going today, the other went toilet diving last year sometime.

 

Had a blood parrot cichlid that I got a juvenile that lived 8 years even though he had some serious territorial fights with other cichlids that I use to keep.
