On the site I see you get Safe in 10g, 50g , 250g, 1kg and 4 kg. So if you have the 250g I reckon a 4kg tub should last you a lifetime. If the expiry doesn't catch you out.

Yeah that stuff is over priced. Seachem Safe and Seachem Prime is the best stuff on the market.

seachem safe is the dry version of prime ans is even more concentrate and apparently works out cheaper....now why dont all us fish keepers know about it? These aqua, tetra etc products are so expensive in the lfs making the hobby expensive and i can only imagine how many keepers skip the water conditioning to skip costs at the detriment of the fish. Now where can capetonians purchase seachem safe?

Good point. I think as someoene else has mentioned. If everyone knew the LFS would not sell dechlor products for years. I am definitely swaying over to Safe from now on. Rediculous to pay R60 for 2 water changes. Lets get word out on the product.

LOL I had a look at the seachem safe, but on 3 tanks that I have that are so small I suspect it will give me a migraine to work out the dosage on it for about 40L of water changes in total :p SO for now I stick with the Prime - a 250ml bottle lasts me about 6 months currently.

@Ryno - I think you need to keep edible fish in your new tank. That way when money is tight you can eat the stock
