got nailed beyond bad last night buy my 30cm plus midas cichlid while trying to fix some decor he move, the bastard actually hand onto my desperately fleeing hand. Def the worst bite i have ever suffered from a fish, had lil pin pricks of blood even and wanted to know who else has come short like this. Fish time in a while i have had a aggression bite , most of the rest have been overly eager jumps for food when feeding.

Well, not by fish I keep. But a sharptooth catfish got me nice when I took him by the mouth to pull him out of the water. Took some skin for himself

You mean besides when MTS bit me, hard?

    I've had three bad bites:

One was while I was working at an LFS, and a friend/customer refused to believe that this particular parrot cichlid had a nasty attitude. I did the only stupid thing I could think of - I stuck my hand in the tank. Not a second later, and the bloody thing had struck. Left a bit of loose skin on my index finger.

The second was with my big male mudskipper. In an attempt to handfeed, the mudskipper missed his mark (i.e.: the food) and bit into my finger. Lost a little bit of blood, too.

Finally, just to prove exactly how dim-witted I am, I had to hand feed my morays. Absolutely HAD to, despite numerous warnings from people, books, websites, and the common logic buzzing at the back of my brain... and it happened twice on two separate occasions. I don't expect sympathy. My finger met this:

Much blood and swearing was had.

My breeding Angels attacked me the other day. Thank goodness I had gloves on. Got a hell of a fright. I was gravel vacuuming the left side of the tank, forgot they were on the right and as I got closer they struck!

@dash - From my experience, certain breeding fish are like a completely different fish! Their aggresion can be amazing at times. My GBR's ripped 2 of my paired Angels to pieces, my Angels in my 300l will dominate 3/4 of the tank when they are breeding and the Angels in the 100l terrorize my Trilineatus Corydoras.

My jag bit me once. Wasn't too painful but it did draw blood. The power in the hit is what shocked me more than anything else.

Twice (i'm not sire if the second one was a bite)

The first was when i had my hand in a convict breeding tank, the female would flare but the male would ram my hand and once bit me.Felt like a paper cut and he drew a bit of blood.

Second time was when i was helping a friend put marine plants into his tank (i'm not sure what they are called),my hand was next to some coral in his tank and something stung me.It was swelling a bit and was painful for a few days.I'm still not sure what it was.

Bitten by many Oscars but they just mistook me for food and then my breeding pair of flowerhorns the male zaps me all the time. And the most recent bite was from a mid-evil I got from @top dog a few hour after I put him in his tank.. Got such a fright I cut myself on the slider

Let me also speak for @Jay my close to 40cm butti gave him a bite once when he had spent some time in a bucket and jay wanted to check the temp. Took his whole finger in and drew blood.
