    Hi there,

I live very close to a "vlei" (wetland I think it is called in English) and we have lots of mosquitoes.

I saw a RAID ad on TV, but when reading the warnings I saw that it was not aquarium safe. No other mossy poison even mentions aquariums.

Can I burn citronella oil? or candles? I have googled and asked around, but nobody can help me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

there is also an enviro-friendly one that is called mosquito-wise by Grovida.
It kills off the larvae before they become a problem. if i remember correctly its a stomach targeting insecticide that causes the larvae to be unable to digest i think.

So what you are telling me is that I need to treat the entire wetland so that mosquito larva cannot grow there?

is there nothing I can use around my house to keep them away?

I burn a citronella Lanturn in my flat in the evening if I want to keep windows and doors open. Haven't seen any effects on the fish yet... but the I also exercise caution and burn it on the other side of the room near the window!

lol, living near a wetland area has its charms and its bane, you cant go mucking about treating the water then, best burn citronella and start practicing the splat-bug approach :d
