    I agree.

1st one is a green plan (easy grower)
Second and 4th one are redish plants. I've tried them both, and they both died in my tank. Unless you have very high light, and inhecting CO2, you can expect them to pass out. Just watch their roots. Their leaves stay alive for months, but what you don't realise is the roots are rotting away and poisoning the water in the substrate
Third one is another green plant. (This is also an easy grower)

no.2 is losing leaves like crazy! find one at the top of my tank every day! no.4 is growing well. have 3 bushes of these guys in the tank, an i have 0.5w/l of light. 2x silvania growlux and 1 aqua glo and another boyu blue spectrum light. Using the profs low tech ferts and the pfp method. hope it works!

image 668 in front - Microsorum pteropus 'Windeløv' - Tropica
back probably some sort of Telanthera - these need loads of light ... roots on the stem should not be removed.

    663 middle - a bacopa of some sort ?
    664 - back plant a Rose Sword - echinodorus x 'rose'
front is not an aquatic plant - Hemigraphis exotica

665 - left a bacopa of some sort middle Telanthera right echinodorus x 'rose'
    666 Telanthera Reineckii ?
    667 anubias barteri var nana

    or maybe not ?

Hi Schalk, let me have a try.
#1;Bacopa monnieri.Slow to medium grower, does well in bright light.
#2;Hemigraphis colorata or Crimson ivy.A nonaquatic plant,i.e.a plant found in marshes or swamp.Looks good but will deteriorate inevitably in the aquarium.
#3;Looks like Hygrophila polysperma.Fast grower, does well in bright light, easy grower.
#4;Alternanthera reineckii.Medium to fast grower depending on conditions.Needs bright to very bright light.Beautifull if you can get it going.
#5;Anubia barteri.Easy to grow altough very slow.Very robust, does well in low light.
#6;Microsorium pteropus 'Windelov',Java fern.Slow to medium growth.Undemanding, does well in low light.
    Hope this help.

The Java fern tips are ok! They have either been emersed for a while or the tips are making new plantlets! Windelov look very similar, but the whole leave are more curly.
Watch out for that red-cabage/beetroot- looking plant! - it's a fish killer!
Go to the links of Tropica and familiarize yourself with plants, as a lot of non-aquatic plants are sold, to make a quick buck.
Good luck, the Java fern and anubias could outlive you!
    Gert.

hey bud .no comment on the plants but i see in your first two pics yout tank is hanging over the edge unsuported .this would give me sleeples nights , have you thought of adding a nice thick peace of wood , ply or masonite under the poly to support the tank evenly.

I think this was discussed in a previous thread.

    Schalk, nice plants
The reineckii you will need high light and CO2 is a plus
Crimson ivy is for the pot plant on the windowsill
Keep the anubias and Java Fern in the shadows as they easily pic up algae
