I think it is valisineria (spelling)

Oh okay.. hmmm.. always had an idea that Vallisneria is a smaller plant.. quite nice..

Must really get some but its so scarce at the stores i'v been to in jhb,in durban i used to buy them for 5c a bunch

 

5c a bunch! Here in pe they sell for R15 a plant....

 

Quite pricey, here they are R5 a stem.
It looks like Vallisneria americana. The ones in the photo are quite small, as mine grows longer than a meter in length.

 

that was back in the day mind you i dont know what they go for now.used to buy from a lfs i knew well he had them growing in his breeding ponds stuff grew like a weed

 

They do grow like weeds tho so dunno why they so expensive here

 

at least you can find them,i'v looked all over jhb i cant find them.anyone who knows where to get some please pm me.
