Hi. Saw these yesterday at a fish shop on Landsdowne road. Anyone know what they are? Both are about 40cm.

i saw a rather big clown knife in that curved tank in pet city montana, its in a tank full of huge fish, but its space is very limited, its ALWAYS in the same corner, everytime i went by there

Someone on here posted a topic on huge fish, and the red tail's pic was MASSIVE, it was as big as the man holding it in his arms... its around here somewhere

CK's get about 80 centimeters in a big tank. They are really active at night. And the same with RTC's

If I get my 2m tank or build my outdoor tank I will DEFINITELY get them both :)

I don't think 2m is sufficient long term. An outdoor tank/tropical pond is much more suitable, as this puts less restriction on the space factor.

With a pond in excess of 3m length, and a good diet followed on with good water quality management, I don't see why a Clown Knifefish shouldn't reach it's full adult size.

the CK can grow to about a meter and up in the wild but I dont think there is one that size in a tank any were. I have one and it is my prize possession and I will love to get him into a much bigger tank soon

You're right. I think it's because there aren't tanks big enough to hold them really, or at least, give them enough room to get to their potential.
