    Hi all,

Can someone please help me identify? Only thing I did today was scrape some sneaky snail eggs off a leaf. My tank was cleaned yesterday....

In the video you will see a wiggly worm above the plant, and also if you keep your focus on the bottom surface of the water you will see little white things darting around. Should I be concerned?

I would be surprised if that was the case. We live by the sea and never have any mozzies around. But who knows :)

They look like yummy live food for fish and I wouldn’t be worried. Is it in Sid’s new tank or in the smaller one?

Gosh I hope so. It's the new tank. Boggles my mind because this tank is clean. I messed with the plant leaves this morning trying to get snail eggs off (they really do try hard) but that's it. While I was admiring my crystal clear water I noticed this party going on.

Google it. You can identify them. Most worms visible outside fish are harmless and will get eaten up. There are exceptions though

    Those look like Detritus worms.
They are quite common in most tanks, and although unsightly are basically harmess.
You can reduce their numbers by feeding less, and giving the substrate a deep vacuum cleaning.

Cool thank you. I only have the one Betta on this 60L so I hardly feed much anyways. I see less of them today so I think my Betta had a feast. Glad it's harmless though.

If they become a pest you can make your own trap out of a coke bottle. Takes a bit of patience to get rid of them though. Vacuuming is probably the best way.
