Went to the shop two weeks ago looking for a new thermometer and ended up walking out with two plants. I assumed they would have committed suicide by now, but since they seem intent on living I feel like I should give them a fighting chance. They are currently still in the containers that I bought them in and I am adding a few drops of bio-elite aquarium plant grow to the tank every second day. Does anybody have a clue how I go about, for lack of a better term 'not killing' them?

Not sure on the 1st pic but the second one looks like Bacopa Monnieri. The first thing is to get them out of the baskets and rock wool and into your substrate.

The first plant looks like Dragons breath. Non aquatic sadly but not 100% sure. The second I'd also say bacopa

hmm - it (the 1st pic) looks like "purple waffle" to me - Hemigraphis exotica - commonly sold as aquatic but isn't. Perhaps google and see?

Also, please update your profile to give us your location - it also helps us id things though it may seem odd!

I was afraid of something like that, since I haven't been able to find much about the first one on the internet. They both seem to be doing ok though, putting out new shoots etc.
My current substrate is a mix of smallish and medium gravel. I'm assuming that won't be sufficient, but I haven't found a place in Potchefstroom where I can get much else.
Can anybody maybe recommend somewhere I can get hold of it online?
