So far i plan on getting Oscars,Flower Horns and an Arowana.Any other fish i can add to the tank and how many of each without overstocking the tank and still giving each one their little territory.

Eish,Arries in a 500l... Stick to Schleropages jardinii/Pearl Arrowanna...at least it doesnt get as big as the Silver or Black ones... Couple that with a pair of Flowerhorns and a pair of Oscars and you about at max stocking levels.... maybe a Plec or a couple of Synodontis catfish more...but anything else will be pushing it...

yes jardini/pearl will love it if width of tank is more than 50cm min BUT one Jardini will kill the flowerhorns and oscars garenteed when it gets a bit bigger or matures trust me ive been there tried that , but if you love arrowana s 1 JARDINI will be awsome and jardinis dont seem to kill or eat loaches and tiger barbs as mutch so you can fill the tank with plenty of them. arowanas(jardiniS) are fantastic fish ,I wont part with my jardini for any amount of cash ,they really grow on you ...

I'd start with two guppies - see how long it takes to hit the over population mark.

Just my opinion. But i have never seen the attraction of putting loads of tiny fish in a huge tank.
For me, big tank = big fish

I would go the Oscar route.

I'd definitely say that this tank isn't for an arowana. No matter the species, they need plenty of room to 'do their thing'. Get a couple of big cichlids and catfish, like the ones mentioned above.

As for the smaller fish, you don't have to go super-small. You could use a few fish that grow between 10cm and 15cm - gouramis, giant danios, some sharks, loaches... it could look very nice.

I would also love to see a huge school of small fish, although I currently have a a slightly larger tank with some big guys, I think the school of small fish would look quite attractive too.

That sounds like a supplier code to me. Will ask my college to check in the catalogue it looks exactly like the one I was eyeing just a bigger version of it.
