As the title says, what would be the average price of a cabinet for a 100L tank?.Would it be cheaper to go with a wooden frame and plywood or should the whole thing be from wooden planks?

So far i am guessing around 2k,which is a bit much. This needs to be a decent cabinet, going to my first test planted tank.

Give me the size of the tank and how high you want the cabinet. Also, do you want doors or an open plan.

My cabinet alone, just structure, planks (incl doors), cutting, glue, bolts and edging cost me +- R3.5k

Its for up to a 300l tank with up to 100l sump at the bottom.

    Tank is:
    915x325x380MM according to the sticker.

i want the cabinet alone (without anything on top) to be 80cm high.Large door on the right,2 drawers on the upper left side (20cm high each) and a small door on the bottom left (36cm high)

Gave the measurements to a friend who is actually a cabinetmaker by trade. The best price he could come up with was R2000-00 everything included without delivery. He told me the price of wood has gone up by 34% the last year.

Better option would be to build a cabinet around a standard steel stand. Steel stands are cheap for the smaller sized tanks and you will use less wood for the cabinet.
