I believe in using a mixture of foods. I have tetra granules and Ocean nutrition flakes that I mix in an old salt grinder that I cleaned. And feed the dry foods every second day. Once a week I feed my fish blood worms also ocean nutrition. I actually alternate blood worms and brine shrimp every week. So basically every second week my fish gets blood worms or brine shrimp. I also occasionally get fresh daphnia from my LFS to feed the fish as well.

I grew up with Tetra being my only option and despite the price hike in later years..... I still have a lot of confidence in it.....

Live food. Freshly hatched Brine Shrimp.

If you have to feed Prepared food, then Ocean Nutrition, Tetra and Sera... Or get Flake foods from the Prof, that stuff is good!

Ether is good cos you will find them a every stall.
Just the price as cheetah has mentioned.
If only spot price checking was allowed on the forum.
COs sometimes same product & weight is almost 50% more expensive.

Don't know if the mod team will allow such execercise?
It be the benifit for all? Just a thought..

@BBQ. The thread topic is what food to use... not what is the price. And you are absolutely correct... we dont allow spot pricing cause that we are not a free advertizing platform for non sponsors.

@hviviers75 - I think the answer is personal choice but variety is the spice of life. Vary their foods if you can. Would you want to eat the same thing day in and day out?

I also mix the flakes/pellets I use and supplement that with bloodworm, daphnia, peas and baby marrow

Yeah, I use the Omega range - amongst others! My fishies love it - but they're not brand specific!

I use the food imported by Dirk exclusively.

Also heard amazing reports of the Omega one. I use the Omega One Shrimp Pellets to treat my fish...

That is what I do, I mix various foods so that my fish don't become picky eaters.

I think that is a good idea think I will get some Omege one Colour enhancing flakes and their normal freshwater flakes will mix it with my Tetra flakes. Think this will work good.
