It looks like a bacterial infection that my betta had a while ago which I treated with mycopur.

Looks like a fungus/bacterial infection. If you don't want to use meds, try using Rooibos teabags. Throw like 6 of them into your tank for a few day. Water will go tea color but it will help the fish loads!

Wow ok first time I've heard of that. I read up about it now and seems to help with the acidity levels but would that completely cure my fish of its infection ?

    *Update*

Just read the threads on this forum about tea and seems legit, keen to try it out :)

birkettN: Pleasure. The other reason I recommend using it is it contains no harmful chemicals everything in it is naturally obtainable.

Also - It seems a bit crazy it already looks like the fish is looking better, about 3 hours after I added the tea

Rooibos is the bomb! Also, if you accidently swallow siphon water it won't taste too bad :blink1:

The Rooibos thing works very well. Tried it in my one tank a few months back. Going to treat my water again soon. Just to be on the safe side

Hundred percent but I treated the tank with the medication. After a while with the tea in the tank I could see the bacterial infection coming back.

I heard that his fish are very unhappy with him as they want the tea bags in a tea cup next time round and not in the tank .........:bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile:
