I noticed this on my R. wallichii stems. Could it possibly be eggs? or an evil Rotala stem nodule disease? They are about 1mm across.
Looks like swollen auxiliary buds, maybe it is producing fruit/seeds/flowers. I know it's not the same plant, but maybe something like this is happening: Rotala ramosior
i dont know im puzzled. also doesnt look like corry eggs. think it wont be easy to get flowers submersed. ive seen anubias and some plants with submersed flowers before. and its usually ony one flower.
They're buds... I get them as well, particularly when my R. wallichii isn't doing too well... But they're normal. Not sure why they appear or what they do, but worry not!
Thanks. I couldn't find any references to that on google, but I guess it's there now for others to see As for them not doing so well - I think I may be low on nitrates...
