Weird things in filter

    Hey guys.

    Im bussy cycling my first tank and while I was doing my water readings and making sure everything is still ok I found a dead fly in my sump. Needles to say I removed it.

    I was just wondering what are some of the weirder things you guys have found in your filter/tanks.

    A mouse.
    Various flying insects.
    Small herald snake that was caught and safely relocated.
    A dog chew toy, that the dog left after drinking out of the tank (probably as payment for the water)

    Lol @Pezulu you bring another perspective to the hobby.

    Mine is a relatively closed system. Haven't ever found anything out of the ordinary.
