    Hi Guys

Has anyone seen a weighted feeder/ holder to keep a piece of cucumber at the bottom of the tank (and where I can get one) or any other idea to keep it at the bottom. I feed my ancistrus a piece of cucumber twice a week by jamming it under a rock but most times I see it floating at the top after the ancistrus has few bites at it. Any suggestions?

I just take a teaspoon and push the handle through the food and drop it in the tank.

When they are done I just take it out again.

Fork works perfectly, you can also use two airstones with a short piece of airline in between to create a dumbbell looking weight, the cucumber or baby marrow is pierced by the pipe with the two airstones either sides

I use the weight from a plastic plant, just spike the cucumber onto the piece where the plant sections connect to and tie a fishing line to it, loop the line through the cucumber and then just reel it out without getting your hands wet

i use a simple technique.i have 4 breeding pairs and all i do is cut a piece of marrow in centre like a fillet.i stick a piece if stainless steel wire thru it and throw in tank.it floats to the bottom and thats it.when its finished i remove ss wire and move on

    quite simple actually

Thanks everyone. I think a combo of fishing line to a fork will do the trick nicely. (Don't have stainless steel wire or plastic plants )
