TankMaster it is a laptop I bought it since it was end of life meaning they dont make them anymore so I bought one for R8000 still in the box sealed and everything. New they used go for around R20 000. Then I upgrade the ram from 1GB to 4GB took out the 120GB drive and replaced it with a 500GB here is the specs:

    # CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.20GHz/ 800MHz FSB/ 4MB L2 cache)
    # Graphics Card: Nvidia Quadro FX 1600M with 512MB dedicated memory
    # Memory:4096MB DDR2-667 RAM
    # Hardrive: 500GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive
    # Display: 17" WUXGA (1920x1200) WVA anti-glare matte display
    # Optical Drive: DVD+/-RW/Blu-ray LightScribe Optical Drive

What I love about it is it has a 17" Screen and that it has a Blu-ray player so I can hook it up to my 32" LCD and watch my Blu-ray movies. :) Also everything is wireless in my flat so I can work in the kitchen or take it to bed or sit outside next to the pool. No silly wires to trip over. Mouse and keyboard is blue tooth, and when I am on the road I put my cellphones sim card into the laptop and use it to go online.

This is what it looks like:

I used to be in the whole PC thing. What can i compare it to.....nothing i can think of now

You start off by paying hmmm R25 000 for a lekke mega pc. Few months down the line something new is released and you must have it!
IMO to much money is spent to try and have the best pc, its worse than MTS.

But ofcourse if you got the money why not. My brother is bad! His PC costs more than what im worth lol

Well the laptop I use for work and nothing else so I dont need monster specs for it, that only happens when you want to play games on it. And why bother then because then you need to upgrade every 6 months to keep up, which is crap expensive.

That is why I bought myself a Xbox 360 and a Playstation 3, new consoles only come out every 6 to 7 years. So I use those to play my games on :)

My work laptop use to be top of the range 5 years ago... now it's kinda old. But works absolutely fine for me. My boss asked if I wanted to get a new one, and pass my one on to the PA. I told him a big fat no... rather buy the PA a new one. I don't enjoy setting up new PC software and cr@p like that. All my programs are running fine... and do my job.

My home PC is also about 5 years old. Also nothing wow. Only thing I recently added was a third harddrive because I enjoy my music... and my current music drive was getting full. (And no... NONE of my music is downloaded, it's all from my own CD collection)

Keeping up with PC's is a waste of time. The only game I play (once in a while) in Need for Speed Underground, and Flight simulator... and my PC handles those games perfectly well.

    Cool pic there!

Zoom any pc is "fine" until you use a faster one. It's painful to go back.

You guys all have better pc's than me :p

Wow, quite a few laptop users. I've got a desktop PC that has probably been moved a few more times than most laptops :D

I'm not really into constant PC upgrades even though my love for gaming sometimes requires it; my good old 8800GT and overclocked 2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo work just fine for almost anything.

B&O #1 sound produces the besr sound in my opinion. (But crackle when driven to hard)
Then JBL (Good for studio and live sound that's loud)
    Then Sony

    JBL = Junk, But Loud
    :)

Sound is a personal thing anyway. what sounds good to one person, sounds utterly crap to another.

If you like the sound of chainsaws and pigs gargling glass, go american, (JBL) if you like a more refined sound go British. (Spendor)
Sound, like TV's, like cars, like girlfriends are all a matter of taste.

I somehow didnt clean the Jic out of the purigen

Came back 2 hours later, all my cardinals dead, 2 of my 4 threadfins gone, and the bolivians hanging on a thread
Move my Apple snail to my american tank, and he promply lost his two antennae to a hungry angel.

Yesterday. added a little more substrate, it all came out the bucket at once, and crushed a Cory....

What an aweful weekend for my fishies
