I seem to recall it being a 10% grace. Meaning 6km grace on a 60zone. 12km on a 120km zone... BUT if you go 133, you are nailed for the full 13km over limit, and not the 1km over grace limit. This is also province specific. I know KZN have a zero tolerance, and I believe EC was going the same route.

I heard that all provinces where looking to make it zero tollerance, but I think thats a bit extreme, especially since the cars do not read true! I could understand them throwing the book at you once you went over that 'allowance', but to nail you for going 61 is a bit extreme!

    Cheers

99% of cars wil show a speedo reading of +65km when actual reading is 61km... so I can accept zero tolerance. If you going 65 on your SPEEDO then you have to accept you going to fast. The fact that it's only 1km is bonus!

agree with zoom on that one. check your gps if you have one, when your speedometer says 100, your gps will tell you that your actual speed is in the low 90's. So if you are caught your speedo would indicate that you were travelling well over the limit

Not so. Their equipment is more in line with the speedo of your car. My, GPS, and other's, show slower than your speedo. Yet, they caught me driving lets say 85(I say 80) and they say 93! So, if my speedo said 85, my GPS would say 79. How do they get to 93? So, beware of zero tolerance, it will come bite you in the a$$.

What slojo is getting at is that the Garmin will be the most accurate true speed. His car's speedo is obviously accurate too.

My car is not. When I do 120km on my speedo, the garmin says 112. What slojo was getting at is that because it's a GARMIN (and not a dum-dum) the 112km/h is more than likely correct, and that the cop will see me at 112km/h

Guitar Hero rocks :D Which one are you playing?
Dunno about new interesting ps3 games, but Rift was recently released on PC and xbox and it looks AWESOME! I don't know if it's available in our stores though :( I haven't seen it anywhere other than on Steam.

Interesting... by choice, budget, or wife's decision?
Actually, come to think about it, my wife and I watch about 30 mins of tv a day! I have a "NO TV in the bedroom policy!"

    So should all people.

Mutual decision actually. Sad how people cant talk to each other anymore. How many people do you know that "kuier" around a tv? People can't sit down anymore and talk about things anymore there always need to be some kind of noise or something.

O and the fact that they show the biggest bunch of twang on the TV plus the fact that your brain have less activity when watching tv then when you are asleep.

I take my hat off to you Vis. I agree 100% percent with you. It's actually amazing to see the difference between a tv person and a non-tv person. Let's take it one step further... the difference between a gaming child, and a child who has to invent games OUTSIDE IN THE GARDEN!!

Tread lightly Zoom :p I'm a gaming person who just so happens to LOVE the outdoors :D

Sometimes I wish we had a no TV policy. There's absolutely nothing on, and its boring.

Throw that thing out :) You will be surprised how much more get done around the house with no TV.
It also becomes much easier finding things to do (even constructive things) when the the TV is gone.

We have a TV but it had to make way for the fish tank. When we used to watch there was definitely a
    as well.

Having said that, I have been criticised for being "on your fish forum again!!" So I think PCs can also result in people not communicating. It's all about balance ;)
