Waxsol for waterproofing aquarium lid?

Hi there everyone.

So today I went and built myself a lid for my 60L tank out of sa pine and 6mm plybord I had laying round.

My question for you guys would it be safe for the fish and plants if I coat it in Waxsol to waterproof it?

 

Got to ear drops first ... figured that could not be right.

Does not kick any alarm bells , never used it but have used woodoc ... no issues and it states that it is non-toxic when dry https://www.woodoc.com/en/products/woodoc-penetrating-weatherproof-wax . That said the MSDS does state This product may be toxic to aquatic life.

Could not find the MSDS for waxsol ... so who knows. .
