Same here: I full a large (110 L) tub with the hosepipe. However, in winter, I add a bucket (or 2, if very cold) of hot water which I carry from the kitchen tap.

I've also heard that people do this. Would make me too nervous, TBH. I believe that you're supposed to add enough dechlorinater for the total volume of water which might contain chlorine, e.g., if you are adding 100 L or chlorinated water to an existing 400 L of aquarium water, you should add dechlorinater sufficient for 500 L.

That seems a bit risky. Dechlorinators, once they run out of chlorine and chloramine, will start to work on oxygen too resulting in oxygen saturation dropping. This is why overdoing it can result in fish breathing heavily. If you're worried about chlorine levels, as the water supply can sometimes be soaked with chlorine, chuck in an airstone and dose for the tank volume but rather only dose for the amount of water being changed.

I didn't know that they would work on the o2. I've been adding a double dose the whole time

I came across it on an Aquarium Co Op video, here it is:

At around 2:50 he starts talking about the oxygen issue too

Sodium thiosulfate is used to remove the chlorine. It is also an oxygen scavenger so it will remove oxygen from the water if overdosed.
