For Sale: WANTED: Zetlight Lancia ZP4000 742

I'm looking to buy the Zetlight Lancia ZP4000 742. Happy to buy second hand.

Do NOT want shop recommendations. Here's why...

This light fits the Juwel Vision 180 perfectly. That's the only tank this one fits perfectly. The 895 Zetlight fits multiple tanks. So the shops mostly import that one and this one doesn't get much "import love".

Do NOT want recommendations on how to "DIY" it. Coz I want a neat job and I'm not much of a DIY guy.

So I'm hoping someone has one of these EXACT lights lying around that they're not using. I need it with all the fittings as it's going in my Juwel Vision 180.

I can buy them from AliExpress but I either have to wait very long for it to arrive or I have to fork out for shipping. I'm also not sure if the import duties will be affordable.

So if I can pick it up from someone locally... who maybe has just run it 1 or 2 years... then that'll be easier.

Nope. Not this specific size. They all get from the same importer and it's the importer who isn't bringing this size into the country.

I know you said no shop recommendations, but Aqua Empire can get for you in about an hour or so, if you're willing to wait.
Give them a call, ask them to get you one, and drive through and pick it up...

I did that with all my Zetlight products, and I have quite the range.
1 x Lancia 590
1 x Lancia 742
3 x Lancia 895
1 x Lancia 1047
3 x ZA 1200
Each of those lights is on its own WiFi Receiver, all connected to the Zetlight WiFi Controller...

 

I've chatted to them already. One time Richard, one time Zubair. They can't get the 742 anymore. It's like the importer is allergic or something

 

In total, I've chatted to 5 different shops. All say the importer didn't bring them and isn't planning on bringing them in again.

They were about the only people I know that could have gotten them.

 

Think this is a common problem with a lot a products, we in SA are limited with the number of choices. A few years back I was looking for Eheim LED strip lights, the importer (Daro) didnt even know that Eheim made LED strip lights. So I ended up buying from Germany, they have the same voltage as us (if it doenst work with a transformer).

Think that would be your best bet, to order from overseas. Amazon also sells Zetlights, check voltages/transformer, also not all their suppliers ship to SA. Perhaps try and find other overseas online shops if you dont want to wait. Think the customs duty is 20% but it can vary, will have to google to get the exact rate.....

 

Yeah - suspect the only way you going to get a 742 is self import or second hand form somebody that did it before.


BTW second hand lights - you are mostly buying less than you expect - esp if something even LED have been running for a year or more.

Looks like I can make it work with the Zetlight Lancia 590. Just need to add PVC to the retro fittings and it'll fit perfectly.

Anyone selling theirs second hand?

 

I only have one 590 currently over my 60cm tank.

Aqua Empire have a 1200 and 895 in stock.

 

I've got the 895 in the tank right now. Cable-tied to the Juwel light fittings. Lots of light but the lid doesn't close perfectly. But if I can get 2x 590s, then it should be enough light plus, with a little PVC tubing, will fit almost seamlessly.

I've gotten some very good prices on the 590s from two sources. Just wondering if there's any awesome second-hand deals to be had. I take it you'll be holding onto your 590, @Pezulu?

 

The 590's are unfortunately not that common.
If you can get them for a good price I would suggest you go for it.
I have yet to find a Zetlight Lancia being sold second hand.
Other Zetlights yes, but not Lancias.
