By dispersing, they move away from areas of heavy predation, minimize competition with one another, and keep the species’ genetic variability high, the researchers believe."

So that is how the endler got into my other tank .. thought I had re-netted it or something weird.

he he he - once floated some guppies in a small container (it was an emergency rescue) at the top of a tank whilst the water warmed up. A few hours later I returned to see if it was up to temp - only to find all the gups swimming around in the big tank... they'd taken things into their own fins!

 

Wow, this was something to see, I couldn't believe it at first.
