Having cycled my tank I introduced two electric blue haps. It's been a week, and based on the cookie cutter set ups from both http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/cookie_cutter_75g.php and http://www.malawimayhem.com/articles_tank_recipes.shtml I added three aulonocara rubescens today. One of the blues is overly aggressive and won't leave the others alone. I did some further reading and some sources say that the blue hap should not be mixed with any peacocks as it will kill all the males.

Not sure what to do short of getting rid of the blue guys. Any suggestions?

Placidochromis Electra? How big is your tank, 4ft right? I've had with at least 3 different Aulonocara without issues.

Think the tank is too small but thats my opinion. Where did you get from?

    Yeah, 4ft.

The fish was sold as Haplochromis Ahli, but in actual fact they're S. Fryeri.

Ah, yes. Also have one of those, they will dominate the tank unless something bigger and badder is in the tank. Where did you get your stock from?

Can this stress the other fish out too much or will they just deal with it? Got them from Sandton Aquariums in the Leaping Frog Center.

You got lots of hiding spots? Any nipping or lip locking happening?

If you can find, Otopharynx Lithobates are awesome. Small, pretty chilled with other tank mates and males only show aggression towards each other. Pity i've only seen them once at Kenilworth.

If you get a Placidochromis Electra, they are much more chilled than the Fryeri
