    Hey Folks,

I'm looking for some random small catfish that I've struggled to find... Are the following just not available in the SA trade??

    I'm looking for these....

    1) Otocinclus Paulinus - I have 4 of the Affinis, but would like some of these.
    2) Hypoptopoma Inexspectatum - Sounds like a spell from Harry Potter!
    3) Parotocinclus Maculicauda
    4) Rineloricaria Lanceolata
    5) Peckoltia Pulcher

Anyone able to give me some advice, I'd really appreciate it??

    Cheers
    Big G!

just quickly looking at the list - finding specie of ottos might be a problem. Unless you can go to a shop everytime they get fish in and watch then unpack it. i once saw 3 sp. of otos at a whole sale company that all came in as affinis.

    Cheers Henk,

How many different species of Otocinclus are there??

It seems that its very difficult to find some supposedly popular fish, mainly because most LFS and stockists don't seem to know their backsides from their Elbows! Why do people become Fish suppliers and sales people if they don't even like or care about fish? Just to clarify, I'm not talking about anyone in particular, and certainly no one from this forum. Just a general thing I've picked up in my short time keeping fish here!

Anyhow, before I dig a bigger hole for myself, I'll shut up now!

Let me know if anyone can help me with the above fishies??

    Cheers
    Big G!

Ditto that. I've never seen Oto's in the LFS's that I've visited.....I'd also love to have a few so if you manage to find them, please let me know as well :)
