Values of Catfish/pleco

Not sure if this should go here or in the classifieds as technically they arent for sale, yet.

I have the following fish that I may have to sell if I downgrade my tank size, which I dont want to do, but space necessitates it. :evil:

Striped talking catfish - 10 - 12cms
Spotted talking catfish - 10 - 12cms
Upside-down catfish - 10 - 12cms
Albino Pleco - about 18cms

I have no idea what the going rate for these adult fish are. If it's the wrong section then please let me know.

Normally you'd sell fish here in the livestock classifieds. Start a new thread there. It'd also be a good idea to be sure of what fish you want to sell first before advertising.

You should sell the fish for what you think they are worth - take into account how much you payed for them, their size, how long you've had them (ie: how long you've been feeding them) and give a rough price out of that.

Thats the problem, I bought these fish many years ago and have NO idea what they go for, or what they are worth.

I dont want to sell them, but am possibly forced to. I do know what they are, granted its not the Latin scientific name, but those names should be recognisable?? Maybe I am wrong. I am not the most knowledgable when it comes to the hobby and am still learning.

Wasnt sure whether this should be in the classifieds as I havent made up my mind yet whether I want to sell them or not.... long story, but it will make sense if you knew the situation, but I dont want to bore people with it :blink1:

 

Those names are what most people refer to them by... the Upside down catfish could be one of several upside-down catfish, so maybe posting a picture could help.

Also, if you're unsure of selling price, just put up the names, sizes and pictures of fish. From there you can ask people to message you reasonable offers. If you feel that they're asking for too little, let them know.
