    Hi there guys...

I recently got my 50kg bag of volcanic black substrate from shaunlventer.
Since i've overcome the flu, i had a chance to change my tank.

    Lets start with the 2ft:

    This is what it was...
I have normal 21W Fl Lighting, heater, HOB filter, playsand substrate, driftwood & rock. 2 live plants (amazon swords). 1 SHY parrot fish.

    This is what it is...
The moss wall is still growing. The marble wall is broken tiles, stacked like bricks. And the parrot fish is still SHY and he loves his pot so yeah...

Now, my siamese fighters... in a 1ft tank....
Java ferns. Separated by 2 mirrors front to front....
PS. Thanks to shaun for the siamese tank.
    Comments & suggestions please... :)

thanks Zoom... i picked up some marble tile offcuts from a local tile store and cracked them into pieces and bonded them with marine silicone... then put a full tile on the back for extra support.... good hiding spot for small fish & fry... here we go... :)

The substrate really makes a big difference!!
You need to spread your moss open more on your wall or you are going to have big gaps or wait really
    long before it fills in.
I would also think of removing the mirror from the siamese tank. This will tress to much in the long run as they will keep thinking there's
    another male.

That wall idee is really great +1 for that.

I think it would look really awesome if the whole back was covered like that and then have the moss grow inbetween it at places.

In general a good job :) Also have one of those pots.

Nice nice :). I like the wall idea. It will really look when the moss has spread.

That moss wall will look stunning when grown out. I also think that that marble wall, will make a fantastic DIY background for an entire tank.... Hmmm.. not I'm thinking of another DIY project... MUST RESIST!

    My bad, thats good.

Moss walls are great, big fan myself :)

Spread as much possible, dont worry about being thin but rather covering more space. Looks like you have enough to get a good thick cover through out.

If that is real marble tiles, you should watch your water perametors,PH and hardness, carefully.Marble dissolves slowly over time and alters PH and hardness, making your water harder.
    Good job on the moss-wall.

They're found at most LFS, but I'm sure some people in your area might have some spare?
