Update of 30l tank

Finally started setting up the tank.
after scrubbing the gravel clean I added plain fish bowl gravel (came with the start kit)


Then added some black gravel



A couple of ornaments



And that is how for I have gotten so far. Still need to add the airstone and piping (need ideas of how to keep the piping hiden),
heater and filter with some plants and then it will be ready to cycle.

Will update as i go along.

Hi, leave the airstone and piping out. Get a small internal filter and just mount it neer the surface.

 

I have a ViaAqua VA-F100 with the right adapter so I can use that

As time passes my view on fake ornaments in a tropical tanks have changed ... I'll say a non-functional ornament is like having a 10Mb hub in your GigE core. Yes your tank looks like it has more stuff ... in the end it will just use space. Then again what is the plan with the tank? Now if you could get some java moss to cover some of it, maybe a java fern or two ... hmmm then nice. (Again that hub will make a good door stop)

@ivan - Thanks, we should be there before 5. @f-fish - planing on putting in a small group of neons and getting hm, java fern and java moss from @ivan. Have a overhead light that (once again) ivan helped me out with. but will update with pictures once everything is in place

 

HM - nice ... yeah that is one that I have not managed to turn into a weed yet.

Promised an update here it is.

Tank has been planted with a couple of java ferns, some java moss, two crypts and some HM (thanks again @ivan)
Tank has been cycling for almost 24 hours now.
