Unknown Fish?

Hi guys

Can anyone tell me what these are? A friend of mine got them and was told they were a type of barb??? It's not even the right shape to be a barb! It looks more like a cichlid or apisto to me. :suspicious:



I'd like to find out for him ASAP what they are so I can research how they need to be cared for. Because they are busy dying. Chances are they might be sick but on the off chance they might just be in the wrong water conditions... I'd like to help my friend out here.

 

Look like a Dario or a Badis? I'm not super familiar with them but it looks a lot like them.

 

similer to what salmaonafrica said, you know they eat smallish stuff? like lobster eggs
maybe just not been eatting. I had 20 and lost all 20 cos didnt feed the right food

Alright... did some snooping around after your comment and it seems the dario dario cichlid is what we have here. And it also seems they have quite a fussy diet as BBQ has stated. Thanks guys... nice quick responses. :amuse:
