About 6 weeks ago I started an outdore tank, as my wife whouldn't allow it in the house. I added some of my current tanks plants to this to get an idee how they will do at lower temps and sun light. Needless to say I had to add fish to this tank at some point. I added 2 Hillstream loaches, and a Peacock Goby to this tank. After about 2 weeks I desided to move the fish to my 4ft tank for the simple reason that I didn't have enough time to pay any atention to this tank and was neglecting it. I drained most of the water from the tank but left about 5cm at the bottom as there was still some Guppy grass in which I wanted to keep going before replanting it in the other tank. This morning I planned to remove the plants, clean the tank and put is away. Big was my surptice to see some 'tadpoles' swimming around in the water. How the heck did a frog get up the table, remove the hood and invite his girlfrend to my tank? Having a closer look at this I realised that they were fish! They are defenitaly not one of the species I put in there as they look like Peppered Corrys. The only explination for this is that the plants I removed had eggs on them. The most amazing part about this is that this tank was without any filtration for about 3 weeks. These guys must have survived on leftover food and algie during this time. If there is anyone that can positifly I'd these fish I will apreciate it

There is 5 in total. I have 1 femae and 3 males in my 4ft which is almost constantly spawning but due to the other fish in the tank the eggs dissapear as soon as it is laid. This is also the reason I'm keeping them away from the comunity tank at the moment as they will be seen as snacks

Nice one ... must say home made corys are double the fun to keep an eye on in your tanks. Congrats on the them.
