Okay as many of you know i upgraded to a bigger tank, 250 liters.
All my fish was in my 3 foot tank friday and i replaced the tank with the 4foot(250 liters)
I don't have the space to keep both tanks, so all my fish is put in the new tank. The problem i have is that the tank is not cycled. What should i do now?

Congrats on the bigger tank! Best solution in your case is to move as much material from the old tank to the new one - particularly filter material. If you are keeping gravel / rocks / ornaments, this should also help.

I moved from a 500L to 1000L last year - kept the filter material from the old tank (keep it damp so the bacteria don't die), then get it running with as much of the old water water ASAP.

Move your filter material to your new tanks filter,if they have the same substrate then you can also move that over.

Make sure to de-chlorinate the water in the new tank properly.

    Hi;

One of my 60 liters cracked a while back, so I put all the fish, plants, gravel, filters in buckets of what was left of the tank water, rushed to the LFS for a new tank.

Basically put everything back in the new tank and all the fish survived. I think as long as you keep the filters and gravel as is, you will be fine.

Just to be sure, maybe add some of your favorite bacteria and watch the nitrite levels if you have a test kit.

Okay, i moved the filter over to the new tank without cleaning the Filter materials.
I also moved the old tank's substrate over.
Everything else i just added back to the tank without washing it(Rocks,a few decor etc)

Yeah it's safe,it boosts the biological bacteria (adds new strains) in your tank and speeds up cycling.I would still recommend doing a full cycle though even with bacteria in a bottle.

Continue like normal, just make sure to watch the water conditions.

Also don't add any fish for a while and make sure the filter is big enough for the tank, you don't want to add extra stress on your fish or biological bacteria.

Depends how many fish you have, you should do about 2 water changes weekly of about 20%.You can slow down a bit when the biological bacteria catches up but it's not a bad idea to keep changing it twice weekly.

I got some advice in my thread on keeping water in a bin between water changes (thanks hviviers75 and OscarFreak),change 20% of the water by symthoning it out then fill up your tank with it.fill up the bin with fresh water and keep it for the next water change.

Hi get your self a bottle of Seachem stability. This will very quickly reestablish the bacteria in the aquarium. I am using it in a new aquarium at the moment and it seems to be working just fine. According to seachem, this is one of the only bacteria in a bottle type supplements that last much longer then their competitors. Check it out at Seachem.

i think you looking for trouble with those.. they will kill each other
CAE and Golden also may become trouble. CAE does an awesome job until it gets bigger.. then it becomes a problem

Oky I will add seachem stability tonight. One of my black mollies died today.
Okay about the rainbow sharks and algae eater: I will make a plan when they are trouble, maybe I can give them to someone?
