    R1000...therefore i can get my own black sand and more driftwood....and extras. so it really is a bargain if you have black sand and driftwood.

    LOL!!! will be looking for enough to cover my 2m tank. the driftwood i want needs to be long and straight. looking to make like a fortress of solitude look in the 2m tank....fortress of solitude if people dont know is the place where superman goes for guidence....

    @madam....

    thanks for that....will see if he finds this post...i dont run after people...

    for all those that wondering how many kgs it will take for my 2m tank, 60Kgs is a nice amount of black sand to cover the bottom of my 2m...

    so if you buy 6 x 10kgs bags of black sand at R100 each, then you are paying R600 (dont forget some driftwood) for a 4ft tank, with builtin filter, stand, sliders (sliders are tinted safety glass) and hood. which is really cheap!!!

    What a bargain - now if only I were in Jo'burg :wondering:

    Small fry - you may need more than 60kg's of sand for your 2m - we used 90kg's which gave us a nice thick section at the back for planting etc. But I guess it depends on how thick you want your substrate.

    all stuff must go!!! R2500

    hey all,

    deal has been upgraded for all and downgraded for me. i am moving and the place i am moving to has quite frequent and long power outages which is forcing me to quit the hobby at this stage in life, but no worries, as the terminator says; i'll be backl.

    So...the deal is.....

    my 2000mm x 600mm x 600mm (WH is 500mm), with builtin filters (x2), glass sliders, pumps, heaters, electronic ballasts, gravel, rocks, etc, etc.

    one catch though is the fish either go with the tanks or they go before the tanks go as they are currently in use.

    fish are;

    2 x large albino tiger red/orage oscars
    2 x breeding pair jaguar cichlids
    4 x SDs (1 is spotted SD)
    1 x medium green terror
    1 x feather fin synodontis fully grown (possibly)
    1 x sh1t little convict that managed to get away from the above
    a few khuli loaches

    in the 4ft is;

    2 x breeding pair of cons (live food source for the above)
    1 x small red oscar
    1 x single spotted synodontis (synodontis notatus)
    a few khuli loaches

    and all my fishy stuff.

    R2500.non neg. not selling separately either.

    PS. pics can be viewed here for the 2 m http://www.tropicalaquarium.co.za/showthread.php?t=760
    and

    4ft http://www.fishforum.co.za/forum/index.php/topic,2580.msg22268.html#msg22268 (note not the same fish in pics. sorry for the external link to another forum)

    PS. Mods or admin please change title of post for me. cant seem to find a way to do it.
