i think the numbers also reflect where the well know brands of aquarium equipment come from. namely usa china and germany if im not mistaken.

no they know were we are but they are going to think that we cant keep fish in our huts because we don't have power to run the filters and pumps so the fish must be in the rivers and dams....lol were the loins drink from......:) :)

    Hi all
Numbers are a little confusing or should i say miss leading. Holland has garantied more fish keeper per head of population than France or Italy. It would be interesting to know about the quality of fish keeping. I often saw a goldfish bowl in Italy but never saw or heard of someone having a proper AQ
    never the less, interesting

Not true. They tried to ban it, unsure of progress. I know the BiOrbs, which is pretty much like a fancy fishbowl, is still avaliable in many European countries.

Same reason it should be illegal here....

small surface area, no to little filtration - gold fish are exteremly messy, a fish that gets rather large in a small bowl is cruel. The animal rights guys in the EU lobbied the goverments and it got banned a few years ago

Bio-orb comes with filters etc build in - VERY expensive goldfish bowl

I just finished talking to one of my friends from the UK - still no bans on goldfish bowls. And te BiOrb, in essence, is a goldfish bowl. It still has hugely limited space. Still cruel.
