    I have a 400 L community tank with two angels, a pair of accaras, a krib, a cackatoo cichlid , a talking cat, 1 apisto, 3 silver dollars, khuli loaches, 1 red tail shark, apple snails and some widow tetras as well as some large black emperor tetras. An one or two smaller odds an ends could I add a rope fish? I wad wondering if that would also be over stocking because I wasn't planning on adding anything else. More info on the rope fosh would also be appreciated!

    @Liam,

    I have had Rope fish / Reed fish in the past.

    Very nice fish to keep, very interesting.

    Their mouths aren't that big, but they are predatory.
    Your khuli loaches, and possibly the apisto would be at risk of being eaten.

    Ropes do best when kept in small groups.
    Need some hiding places.
    And also, make sure the top of the tank is sealed. It is not unsual for them to go exploring, and end up on the floor.

    My Khulis are full size and fairly fat as they go. Saw a few of these again and seriously considering it...

    They won't stand a chance.
    Rather rehome them if you want to get the Ropes.
