    Hi TASA

    Tank 2 completed today.

    As per thread description - Southeast Asian river setup and the new home to my tiger barbs and rainbow shark.

    Used the same plants as per link except I didn't add the hygrophila polysperma which I will as at a later stage when it's grown out a bit in the high tech tank. I also didn't use a red / clay substrate as I thought it was a bit pointless to get more substrate as I would need to order online.

    1 x3 ft and the the 2x 4ft, the 150l with sump I'm also changing but my tiger barbs are growing out a bit in it for now while this tank cycles.

    I want to start with the West-African tank so its ready for when the rope fish arrives!!

    Thanks @GaryG, It looks a bit bare atm so time will tell. These crypts grows sooooooo sloooooooooow and adding CO2 to this tank would be a waste imo.

    No, not to happy Langa. Bottom layer Amazonia II mixed with JBL Aquabasis caped with Prodibio Aquagrowth. I had the amazonia from the old planted tank so I thought I'd might as well use it to fill up the back of the tank. The Aponogeton Crispus and the Crypts has heavy roots so it needs a thicker substrate. It's probably a bit over the top in terms of the type of substrate for these plants but it works well.
