Tiger Barb new additions

Moved my three tiger barbs into my 30l- saving to get em a 2 ft. And added my new additions- 6 baby tigers

They are lovely fish... just a pity they aren't good with community's! You've made a good move there Kat

My other tank seems a lot more peaceful without them- the dwarf gourami's are definately swimming around more and I added two angels instead of the tigers. The fish are all getting on great

very nice! good choice! The additions have very interesting markings - the "spot" in the middle...thats not typical markings for this species...

once you move them to a larger tank and want to add a few more, then consider the albino golden tiger barb and the green tigers... a shoal of all these together should be very nice!

New tank going well. Added a pair of rams. Lost 2 angels. Angel pair has spawned (but ate the wrigglers when they hatched)... so a lot has been happening in the last week. (Fish were only put into the tank 8 days ago!!!)

I will be doing an update of the tank on my thread sometime this week before going away. (CAPE TOWN WATCH OUT... Zoom is coming for a good holiday!)

 

Yes I saw the spots and thought I hadnt seen ones with spots like that before-wat do you think it could be?
I'd love to add some more to make a big shoal seen pics and looks pretty stunning..how many would u reckon for a two foot?

Zoom- enjoy ct I'm jealous and your fish have definately been busy-prob making use of all their extra space I'm sorry about your two angels, but hopefully the other two will spawn and not eat the little ones this time.

 

Technically speaking you could have 60 x 25mm fish in a 2Ft... However thats very much linked to the filtration feeding water changes etc etc... So for you I would assume no more than 24 fish total in the 2Ft, considering an average total size of about 50mm for these fish...
