    Hi guys.

    This is a really hard post for me to post on here. Have been keeping discus for a little more then a year now. So far, it has been an extremely rewarding and for filling experience.

    These fish have such amazing personalities and are truly the kings of the aquarium.

    I have had a few challanges with them but, thanks to members of this forum I sorted that out.

    I had got married a few months ago and these kings of the aquarium require a lot of my attention. It is just becoming very difficult to keep all my tanks in check.

    So I am thinking about letting all 14 go to a good home. Have not made up my mind yet. Looking forward to hearing from you. Will post some picks as well. All you experts tell me if I decide to cell them, what would be a good asking price? Thanks.

    @dash,
    Are you not able to scale down the number of tanks, and just keep 1 with some Discus?

    Could be a good idea. Never really gave it some thaught. Some times when you are a little overwhelmed you don't see reason.

    Your fish are teaching you a valuable lesson, it is up to you to embrace it.
    If it was easy to get something in your life do you value it as much as something thing you worked your butt off for?
    Your tank is becoming a chore for you because you are over thinking it, do me a favour get yourself a chair and a coffee or a double if you prefer and just sit in front of your tank, I do this daily, late at night when its quite and I just look at the fish, the way they move their mannerisms and characteristics, remind yourself of your journey with them, you might just find your mind changing........

    @HEIHACHI 100% true. @dash, I got three kids (11, 8 and 3) and they actually love cleaning the tank and even are helping me now with the breeding of my angels.
    My wife doesn't mind, cos then she gets a break from them.
    Just down size of now. I'm sure you will find an equilibrium somewhere there.

    @dash , @HEIHACHI is right ,, you are normally a very rational thinker when it comes to my fish problems, don't rush into anything , think things through, just breathe, relax , give yourself some alone time with them , you will figure something out

    Chin up. Also two little kids this side, they very interested in my aquarium stuff. Keep them involved, it will benefit them for a long time to come.

    As to the time problem, perhaps think of ways to optimize your water change and feeding regimes. Any chance for semi-automation on the water changes?
