    Hi All

I was called by my mother in-law over the weekend to come and sort out a tenant who skipped out on her after renting her house for 3 years, he just up and left back to Angola. She said that he had left the pond with a lot of fish in it and would I please come and sort it out and get rid of the fish as she has no time to feed then every day. WELL THIS is what I found to my much existed surprise. I was like a kid in a candy store

Y I have put this in the Noteworthy systems heading is because I have never seen so many fish thriving in such a little space and also the care that was taken to keep the water in pristine condition for the fish. he also fitted the filter with a inline heater in it so as compensate for the winter months.

The Pleco was the biggest fish in the pond he is about 35cm in length but there was also what looks like a pepper cat fish of over 12cm long and very well fed he looks like a fat clown.

The rest consisted of a uncountable number of Guppies and Swordtail Plattys all of varying sizes. The only this wrong with the pond was in infestation of snails.

Give me a sec and I will post some pics......

    okay okay

I luckily had a spare 450l tank lying around and put the pond pump on it but the capacity of fish in the tank is still going to be too much for the tank. I am going to sell them off to the LFS’s in the area.

That's a lot of fish for a pond that size!

    Nice to get some freebies.

Got a buyer yesterday for them all. will keep the best ones to breed as there seems to be a demand for them up here for now untill the market is flooded that is but hay its something to do. Also keeping the big cat fish and the small albino one the Pleco went before I could finish the question at the LFS.
