the stupid thermometer

ok my thermometer is floating in my tank... it doesnt want to stuck to the side anymore.... . GRR.... where can i buy a new one?

 

Why not clean the sucker and stick it with marine silicone?

Well what do you know... I cleaned it and the sucker cracked... Becuase its so hard... Really ...i will go buy a new one next week

 

Rather get a digital one,battery lasts very long and it is quite accurate.

I've had mine on since February and it's still going,not sure what brand but here is what it looks like:

 

as an interim fix .. paperclip does wonders to keep things hanging around the tanks edge .

I had heard that pouring boiling water over the sucker thing (WHEN IT'S OFF THE THERMOMETER OF COURSE!) can sometimes make it work again. Too late for that now, but I don't think I actually have a single thermometer that is stuck to the side. They all have useless suckers or none at all and they float round in the tanks. I usually find they drift to a corner and stay there.

 

the thermometer is in my 3 foot tank its on 22'c i think is that to low??do it have to be on 25?

 

before I say that is fine ... because most of tanks min at 18 dgrees in winter and not heater in summer, what fish do you have ?

 

4 angels,1 pleco, 1 cory and 1 CAE

 

never tried this combination - even in a bigger tank, and it really should be, also not sure about the angles in a 3ft with these guys - cory cae pleco will do fine at +-20 .
