    Hi All

    Meet the "TANK"

I will be moving my existing 11 Tiger barbs in the new tank on Wednesday night.

Will then start increasing the group slowly to about 40 - 50 Tigers, will then get 15-20 scissor tails and then later on maybe 10-15 red eye tetras or some Giant danios

I cannot wait for my Tigers to grow to a huge group like this.

Here is a couple of pics from starting the "TANK" up on Saturday.

I had to reseal the one section last night the black internal sump filter which I am not using at the moment.

It started leaking on Saturday after filling the tank, I did not pick this up when I did the first 2 leak tests.

    My filtration on this TANK

    2 x sunsun 1200 l/p hour internal filters
    1 x Dolphin F-1200 450 l/p hour internal filter
    1 x Aquaclear 200 757 l/p hour

this equals to 3607 liters per hour so it give me a turn around of my water of 5.5 times.

I only feed my tiger barbs once a day and every 2nd morning so keeping the BIO-LOAD low.

This is going to be so much fun!!!!

Thanks bro, I will be using the velcro strips with 3mm ply wood to close the stand on the left right and front.

You must also enjoy your new journey on your new 300 Liters of joy.

No I will be adding another dolphin f-1200 and my aquaclear 200 so, in total I have 2 x sunsun 1200 l/p hour 1 x Dolphin F-1200 450 l/p hour and the aquaclear 200 757 liters per hour this is 3607 liters per hour
divided by 650 = 5.5 times per hour I got 1 liter of matrix in their and will be adding more. will go the sump route later on.

wrt the stand.....it looks somewhat "weak" in the pics.....is it sufficient to hold up the load you will be putting on it???

Hey man. Sorry to be paranoid  but if you ever empty that tank, look at putting feet on that stand. The tank is going to land up weighing about 800kg with all the sand etc which if it's nice and level equals 200kg on each leg. The potential punching force could cause cracking in your tiles. I'm really sorry for this post :embarrest:(I wasn't going to say anything when I saw it this morning) and don't mean to be a party pooper. Please take this as a friend with concern.

Hey dude, thanks for the concern man. I already put two pieces of steel on the two right feet on the stand to level it out. Will see if I can get some more steel to put under neath the other two foot.

I already had it filled on Saturday and I had no issues no cracking tiles nothing. I had to empty it to fix a leak in the internal sump at the right back side.

    Did this last night.

I cant really put feet on the on the left side as this will not make the stand level anymore.

Thanks will check it for crack in the future.

When you starting your tank up dude?

How did you get your tank onto that stand? Either you are seriously large and on steriods or it took like 4 people to lift it?
