The new Betta ladies

Got a few betta chicks for the new sorority tank. All crown tail.

My favourite. Marble body with light blue fins







My other favourite. Black mask with green metallic body.







My wifes favourite. Marble body with red fins. slight blue wash on the tail.





And then the twins as I like to call them.









They are all about 4cm big so they still have loads to grow.]
Will post again when they are bigger.

The green one is a bit special. Have always wanted a green betta.
She usually race around. Will come and check whats happening or grab something to eat and be off again on some kind of mission

 

Very pretty there Gerhard. The will make some nice additions to those Nano's of yours

 

wow vis they gorgeous! i love the green lady i've also always wanted a green betta, could you pm me where you got them? the twins are awesome aswell, i think they call it a celophane colouration... i could be wrong though. watching my ladies, i find they alot more active then the males, always curious about everything.

 

They are actually in their own tank. The Nanos is a little on hold for now untill I get the rest sorted.


Thanks Windfire. None of them are celophane but rather light finned with a weird metallic glow. The one has this kind of green/gold and the other more towards purple. Yeah i know my photography sucks
I got them directcly from one of the importers. Had a tank with about 50 of them which made it very hard to choose. There was only 2 green ones but the one did not seem to well.

 

wow! really nice tank, what plantings have you got in there? hmmmm i have to get into an importers place. i could go absolutely mad in a place like that lol. mines not so good either and they tend to move around alot more than vulcan did, lol alot harder to photograph. i can imagine it would be hard with 50 to choose from it was bad enough with the 7 or so at the petstore i was at.

 

Mostly amazon swords. A few narrow leaf and 2 broad leaf which I and the betta love. Its leaves area bout 23cm long and 17cm broad and hangs around close to the surface.
Some anubias on the driftwood.
Weeping moss, christmass moss, Taiwan moss and some spiky moss.
Rotala and some other plant I do not know but also grows straight up.

Yeah its not easy given a lot of choices
